Spicy Roasted Chickpeas
⏱️ Prep Time: 5 minutes • 🍳 Cook Time: 35 minutes
These Spicy Roasted Chickpeas are crispy, fiery little flavor bombs—and my go-to when I need a crunchy snack without reaching for a bag of chips. They’re packed with plant-based protein, super easy to customize, and totally addictive. You’ve been warned.
Crispy, golden chickpeas tossed in bold spices—your new favorite snack just got a serious upgrade.
Whenever I make a batch of these, they disappear fast. I usually roast up a can of chickpeas on Sunday to snack on throughout the week, but let’s be real: they rarely make it past Monday. The key is getting them dry before roasting—this is what gives them that signature crunch. Once they’re golden and crisp, you toss them in a spicy seasoning mix that hits all the right notes: smoky, salty, and just enough heat to keep it interesting.
They’re perfect on their own, but I also love sprinkling them over salads, grain bowls, or even creamy soups for added texture. You can keep the spices mild if you’re making them for kiddos, or go heavy on the cayenne if you're like me and crave that kick. They store well (when you don’t eat them all at once), and they’re way more satisfying than a processed snack. Just a handful totally hits the spot.
