Olive doesn’t need a lot of grooming since she’s a short-haired basenji and mostly takes care of herself. That said, she does shed a little and sometimes gets itchy skin, so having a good brush helps keep her coat looking nice.
I already had the human version of the Tangle Teezer brush and loved it, so when I saw they made one for pets I thought it would be perfect. I had actually brushed her with my regular one before, which is how I realized she liked the feeling of it.
The bristles are gentle but still do a great job pulling loose hair off her coat. She seems to enjoy being brushed with it and it helps keep shedding under control.
