1 large grapefruit, freshly squeezed (about 1/2 cup of juice)
1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
2 ounces gin
Ice cubes
Sparkling water
Grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Steps
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and honey or agave syrup.
Step 2
Add one sprig of fresh rosemary to the saucepan.
Step 3
Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the honey or agave syrup is fully dissolved and the mixture is warm (about 2-3 minutes).
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the rosemary infuse the mixture for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the rosemary sprig from the mixture and allow it to cool.
Step 6
Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Divide the infused grapefruit mixture equally between the glasses, about halfway full.
Step 7
Pour 1 ounce of gin into each glass.
Step 8
Top each glass with sparkling water to your desired level of fizziness. Gently stir to combine. Garnish each glass with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
Make it your own!
Experiment with different types of gin, such as botanical or citrus-infused variations, to explore diverse flavor profiles.
Enhance the herbal notes by gently bruising the rosemary sprig before infusing.
Include a splash of elderflower liqueur for a subtle floral undertone.
Add a dash of fresh lemon or lime juice for an extra layer of citrus brightness.
Customize the sweetness level by adjusting the amount of honey or agave syrup to your taste.
I go through phases where I want a filling breakfast but the thought of eggs sounds terrible. This bowl has been my answer lately. Crispy air-fried tots, jammy tomatoes and onions, creamy avocado, and a warm tortilla on the side to scoop everything up. It feels hearty enough to keep me full, but still fresh and light enough for slower mornings.
